THE GEOLOGICAL EVIDENCE FOR THE FLOOD

THE PRESENCE OF THE ARK PROVES THE YOUNG AGE OF THE EARTH.

The remains of the Ark now sit at an elevation of approximately 2000 metres above sea level, upon the Mountains of Ararat. Fossils of coral and shellfish which are buried in marine sediment, cover the Ararat Mountains and also the entire earth. The existence of these water deposited sediments provide the geological evidence that the surface of the earth has at some time been covered by water.

Conventional geological maps of Eastern Turkey and geological reports, state that the age of the sedimentary rocks and fossils found in the Ararat Mountains, date from the Eocene period.

These geological reports also state that following the deposition of the sedimentary rocks and fossils by water, the sea level gradually diminished in this area until the early Miocene period. By the end of the early Miocene period the last trace of water covering the Mountains of Ararat had finally vanished, and the volcanic activity which formed the adjacent Mount Ararat volcano, then began to erupt. The Mountains of Ararat have never been submerged by water again after that time.

Evolutionists claim that the early Miocene period ended 16 million years ago, and that the age of the earth is billions of years old.

HOW CAN THIS AGE BE TRUE?

It would be a physical impossibility for a ship the size of the Ark to drift into the Ararat Mountains, and run aground 2000 metres above the present elevation of sea level, without water being present.

The Ark had to be carried into the Ararat Mountains by the same water that deposited the fossils and sediment, as this was the only time that the water covered these mountains.

THE ARK IS NOT MILLIONS OF YEARS OLD.

The water deposited sediments and fossils that the Ark now rests on top of, have to be the same age as the Ark, as this was the only time that the water covered these mountains. The sediments and fossils of the Ararat Mountains have been correlated with the other sedimentary rocks throughout the earth. This means that the real geologic time of all of the earth's sediments and fossils can only be a few thousand years old.

The most accurate way to determine the date of a sedimentary rock is by finding a geological time marker within it. The existence of a man made artifact such as the Ark which God commanded Noah to build, is the greatest geologic time marker that exists, and proves the Biblical account to the flood exactly as it is written in the Bible.
